New Moon , the second of the Stephenie Meyer teen blockbuster saga fiction adapted for film, is stronger than its predecessor, Twilight . Director Chris Weitz ( The Golden Compass ), taking the helm by Catherine Hardwicke, takes a lighter, more reliable way of following the tap, which continues the story of fatal love bad the mortal Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Vampire Edward (Robert Pattinson).
Incidentally, Edward was absent most of the film, after an accident on the birthday of Edward Bella explains that her life is always at risk when they are on the road, you chose to abandon it by sending a deep depression. The only person who helps heal her broken heart is his friend, Jacob (Taylor Lautner), a member of the Quileute tribe, as he grows more beefy and more aggressive (under clothing), he realizes is not fully human either. But his love for Bella does not stop flowing into the path of danger because it is the only time I can see the visions of Edward. One of them sends Edward fatal misunderstanding in the congregation of the Volturi (a sort of mafia vampire, if you wish), where the most dangerous vampire in possession of both Edward and Bella destiny in their hands are cold and dark .
Much of New Moon , falls on the shoulders of Lautner, so thin in Twilight , which was known to have been placed on the muscle to avoid recast. He is almost able to bear the burden, but the cheese tastic scenes Beefcake disservice to him, and Jacob and Bella’s friendship complicated stumbles on his way to any sort of love triangle. Po ‘offense this is Stewart, who keeps his emotions understandably close to his chest, but it is too little (c’mon, a girl must be a little scary ” Joyful arms two different guys). As with the book, the film is a bridge between the sagas, where the plot drags on and does not happen much.
Fortunately, while Twilight is trapped in its self-consciousness, casting wobbly legs seems to have found stronger foot in New Moon , jokes are faster, writing (by Melissa Rosenberg, who also described Twilight ) is a bit of spirit. (Even Pattinson seems more comfortable in the shoes of Edward.) Volturi, Aro emphasized by Jane and Michael Sheen’s Dakota Fanning, also make an impression too short, but at least there’s more to look forward when < ; em> Eclipse , the third chapter is released. – Ellen A.
